~*1st traffic light at hometown! 21 Dec 2009*~
*The roundabout was removed and replaced with a traffic light! The traffic light opening ceremony was at 2pm and I was so obsessed about it. That evening itself, i forced my dad to go cycling with me and the routes that we took must must must passed by the traffic light!
Well, not that I've never cross a traffic light before, I've been driving for the past 10 years but it just surprised me that there'll ever be a traffic light in my small home sweet hometown. haha!!It was really fun looking at people crossing the traffic light. It was quite chaotic at first coz peoples were unsure which to look at to cross. Am I supposed to look at the round green light to turn or wait for the green arrow?
I think almost everyone got confused at first but eventually went thru the correct way after few times of training...I can't really remember when was the last I cycled around the town but it was really fun get to cycle again...
I remembered I got my first bicycle from my dad when I was in Primary 4 and it cost RM165 and the brand- Rally. I've been bugging my dad for a bicycle back then and he promised to buy me if I get No.1 in my class continuously for that year. When I talked bout it recently, he couldn't remember but it's okay. That time, I was soooo happy cycling around.
When I moved on to secondary skool, I wanted a motorbike instead. And my dad told me he would buy me if I get at least 5As in my PMR examination. But too bad, due to my playful behavior, I only got 4As. However, i still get my motorbike which my dad initially bought for my mom and it became mine after she had an accident when she rode it for the first time!It was a red Suzuki scooter with plat number QRA5587.
Later, I managed to enter the uni and joined the corporate world in year 2004. And again, my dad bought me a car! It's a Korean made car, Hyundai Accent and I love the plat number- WLX541. I was so happy when I got the car on 26 June 2004 and busy driving round and around and round to familiarized myself with the car as well as the road in KL.
Thinking back, I got everything from my dad ever since birth. I'm so lucky that I'm born to be loved. My dad has been driving his old laopok Proton Wira since 1997. I would like to get him a new car with my own salary. Unless there's a covered place to park, if not getting a new car and let it be under sun whole day will be a waste. Pity the car.....
From a bicycle, motorbike to car, my dad has spent a lot on me just on this 3 items. And me, what have have I done for him which can be considered as a great memory for him?*
